PIE NEWS (EU Grant Agreement No 687922) goal is to foster COMMONFARE, or “welfare of the common”, which is a participatory form of welfare provision based on collaboration among people living in Europe that want to develop new ways of collectively responding to the everyday problems in terms of poverty, precarity and unprotection by safety nets. Leveraging on three pilot countries (Criatia, Italy, the Netherlands) with participative methodologies, the project will develop the commonfare.net platform for: informing about welfare provisions, sharing good practices, and support initiatives based on resource-sharing and bottom-up experimentations also with the development of an alternative cryptocurrency.
