ABOUT FBK CREATE-NET
CREATE-NET (Center of REsearch And Telecommunication Experimentations for NETworked communities) was an international research center established in 2003 as a non-profit association with the support of the Autonomous Province of Trento and recognized as one of Europe’s leading institutions in Internet technologies and telecommunications (see Key figures & Major awards here). CREATE-NET association was integrated within Bruno Kessler Foundation (FBK) at the end of 2016 and merged with the ICT Center at the beginning of 2020, pursuing a strategy identified by FBK Board of Directors toward launching four new Research Centers in the field of Information & Communication Technologies.
CREATE-NET’s unique research expertise was on 5G (and beyond) networks, fog/edge computing, Internet of Things platforms and on communication & network security. The Center aimed at prototyping and developing the Next Generation Internet, a highly-reactive, programmable, robust digital infrastructure capable to accelerate the development of breakthrough innovative services in several application domains.
